Privacy and data

• No ID checks and no paid tier.
• Who sees what: a private community's rooms, messages, members and search results are only visible to its members. This is enforced by the database itself, not just the app.
• Your profile (display name and username) is visible to people who share a community or a direct message with you.
• Direct messages are only visible to the people in the conversation. You choose who can message you, and you can block people. See Direct messages.
• Deleted messages have their text removed; they show as "Message removed".
• AI helpers: when you mention @ctrl or @openctrl, your message and the recent messages in that room or thread are sent to the AI model configured for the server. See AI helpers.
• Calls go through the LiveKit server configured for Ctrl Room and aren't recorded by Ctrl Room.
